I originally started this blog as a discipline in thinking critically about user experience, digital strategy and design.
But as it has evolved, however solitary an exercise, it has become more an experiment in thinking about patterns for life and how they apply to our work.
Business is a complex human organism and anything made out of humans can never be a machine. In this sense I completely disagree with Bill Duane of Google, who claimed that “business is a machine made out of people.” A healthy company is an organism made up of people. An understanding of human life is at the core of understanding business strategy. That’s where I like to focus.
I love my job as a Digital Marketer, but my undergrad study was in Analytic Philosophy. I believe I’m not really doing my job unless I am constantly evaluating how I approach my job, the people I work with, and the entire world.
And most of all, I enjoy curious, honest, intense, serious, humorous, intelligent conversation in any context, but preferably over a cigar.
